#Untitled10

#Untitled10 for The Bowes Centre was a digital residency that explored concepts of craft, materials and making with the processes and outcomes exhibited within The Bowes Museum.

Architectural drawings of The Bowes Museum building and the museum’s iconic silver swan exhibit were explored through patterns and paper models that drew inspiration from paper theatres and pop-up books. The craft process of experimentation and prototyping of these paper works incorporated traditional Japanese crafts and contemporary digital fabrication techniques.

The final exhibition featured ten  artist and maker’s series of works in progress throughout the museum, showcasing the range of creative processes involved in interpreting The Bowes Museum itself, its history and collection.
